Job summary

Pittsburgh Marriott City Center is seeking a Banquet Set-Up Associate to assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role involves physical setup of meeting rooms and ensuring guest specs are met.

You will transport tables, chairs, and equipment, replenish supplies, and help break down rooms after events. Strong communication and the ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to lift/move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Attention to detail in setting up meeting rooms to guest specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications.
• Transport tables, chairs, and equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down rooms after meetings and reset for next function.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for ballrooms and meeting spaces.
• Communicate with supervisor to stay aligned on duties.
