Job summary

Mainsail is seeking enthusiastic banquet setup staff to assist with guest-focused service and event preparation. You will greet guests, set up tables and chairs, and follow shift schedules while maintaining equipment and spaces.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to use tablets or iPads for operations. You will collaborate with hotel staff to ensure a high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher
• Previous hospitality experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge guests with a warm greeting in public spaces
• Assist with banquet set up of tables and chairs
• Follow scheduled shifts and break requirements
• Report light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to the manager
• Assist guests with specials requests and hotel knowledge using guest names
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas and equipment

Education

High School diploma or higher

Hospitality experience preferred
