TPG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a professional Banquet Server to provide high-quality service for weddings, conferences, and private events at our Portsmouth, NH property. You will set up banquet rooms, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and maintain clean, organized dining areas.
This role requires excellent guest service, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing professional, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service during weddings, conferences, meetings, private parties, and other catered events. This position helps ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations.
Greet guests and provide courteous, attentive service throughout events.
Serve food and beverages according to event specifications and service standards.
Clear dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently while minimizing disruption to guests.
Replenish beverages, buffet items, and service supplies as needed.
Assist with buffet, plated, family-style, and cocktail-style service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
Follow proper food-safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service procedures.
Respond professionally to guest questions and requests.
Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, and storage of banquet equipment.
Communicate effectively with the banquet captain, kitchen staff, bartenders, and event team.
Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.
Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
