Highgate Hotels is seeking a friendly and professional Server for the Kalia Theater at our Waikiki site in Honolulu. The role involves setting up and serving food and beverages at banquets and events, following hotel standards.

You will read Event Orders, know menus, and ensure guest satisfaction while handling money and maintaining clean banquet spaces. This full-time hourly position offers benefits and opportunities within a global hospitality company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel/related-field experience preferred.
• Flexible; long hours may be required.
• Able to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand during the shift.
• Effective listening, understanding, and clarifying guest concerns.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Approach guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Solve problems and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve food and beverages at functions per hotel standards.
• Read Event Order and know the function menu.
• Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems and communicate with management as needed.
• Set tables according to hotel standards.
• Maintain banquet storeroom neatly stocked.
• Clean banquet space after functions and restock equipment.
• Prepare restaurant/room per EO and meal functions.
• Follow money handling procedures when serving.
• Know menu items and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
