Job summary

The Westin Sarasota in Sarasota, FL is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to deliver exemplary guest service during banquets. You will prepare dining stations, assist with setup, service and breakdown, while adhering to brand standards for food quality, presentation and sanitation.

No formal education required; previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus. The role requires weekend and holiday availability and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience: None. Customer Service and/or Hospitality experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and serve guests during banquet functions according to brand standards.
• Learn menu items and explain major ingredients and preparation methods.
• Set up tables with correct glassware and silverware 15 minutes before start.
• Refill water and coffee, clear service items and condiments as per standard.
• Assist Banquet Captain in breaking down buffet and handling equipment.
• Know and comply with state food handling and liquor laws; return all food to the kitchen.
• Keep station neat and report items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.
