Job summary

Sodexo at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans seeks a Banquet Server to provide food and beverage services for catered events, from meetings to large receptions. You will support various service styles and work under the Banquet Captain and Banquet Supervisor to deliver a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include event setup, service execution, and breakdown, plus keeping tables and stations clean. You may lift up to 35–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous banquet, catering, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS or equivalent certification, and comply with state requirements.
• A food handler certification may be required based on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services at catered events, including meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners and functions.
• Support service styles from buffets to plated meals and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Assist with event setup, service execution, and breakdown under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and work areas during events.
• Handle heavy lifting up to 35-50 pounds as needed.
