Job summary

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to join our hospitality team at Old Saybrook, CT. You will assist in food catering events, prepare function rooms, and ensure a smooth service with attentive guest interaction.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, reviewing BEOs, coordinating room setups, and assisting with buffet service and wine pours. Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work mornings or weeknights as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests enthusiastically to create a friendly experience.
• Review Banquet Event Orders at shift start to ensure room setup as contracted.
• Prepare rooms, adjust lighting, sound, curtains and temperature as needed.
• Set and align tables per function guidelines and ensure uniform presentation.
• Explain menu items and ingredients to guests and answer questions.
• Set up and breakdown buffets and service tables; manage proper flow of service.
• Communicate any needs or issues to Banquet Manager or Captain and report allergies.
