• Prepare event room setup and place settings as directed.
• Attend pre-function briefing for event details.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service throughout event.
• Break down tables and equipment after events and return items to storage.
• Adhere to grooming standards and complete side work as assigned.

## Banquet ServerApply: Worcester, MA: Part time: Posted Today: R100125395Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a **Part Time Banquet Server** at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts 01608. This is a part time, event related position. No set schedules or hours.**POSITION SUMMARY:**This position is responsible for providing a high-quality catering service for banquets and receptions as well as to achieve customer satisfaction and retention.**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Report for work in proper uniform according to the scheduled time* Follow instructions for each event as given by the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Supervisor* Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware and serving pieces needed for each event* Assist with preparing garnishes, beverages, condiments and breads* Assist with cleaning and filling salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc.* Assist with preparation and set up of event room when necessary* Prepare tables and place settings as instructed by the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain* Attend pre-function for briefing of event details* Always provide friendly and courteous customer service* Remain at assigned station and perform duties as assigned according to each event* Report any customer service concerns to the Banquet Supervisor or Banquet Manager* Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event* Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area* Adhere to strict grooming standards and policies of company* Complete necessary assigned side work* Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**This position has no supervisory responsibilities**EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE*** High school diploma or GED* Minimum of one (1) year work experience in food and beverage environment* Prior banquet server or waiter/waitress experience preferred* Knowledge of catering services terminology preferred**SKILLS AND ABILITIES*** Ability to receive and carry out instructions in a timely manner* Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work* Ability to speak and understand English to converse with coworkers and supervisors, as well as to understand tasks issued* Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed* Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic* Must be at least 18 years old* Ability to work independently and with others**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
