Job description

Ed Oliver Golf Club is hiring a Banquet Server! Serves banquet function guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while creating memorable experiences.

1. Prepares function sites and ensures meeting rooms are set according to specifications.
2. Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
3. Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
4. Attends and actively participates in pre-shift meetings.
5. Communicates special requests and concerns to the department manager.
6. Helps maintain clean banquet and kitchen areas.
7. Oversees all equipment with care.
8. Assists in inventory control and monitors waste in the banquet or catering area.
9. Ensures guests receive excellent customer service by anticipating their needs.
10. Incorporates safe and sanitary work practices throughout job performance.
11. Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
12. Maintains exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization.
13. Performs other duties as required.
14. High school diploma or GED required.
15. Weekday and weekend availability required.
16. Background in bartending is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands and walks.
• Uses hands; reaches with arms and hands.
• Stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches.
• Talks or hears; occasionally sits; climbs or balances.
• Must be able to lift chairs, tables, ice buckets, beer cases, etc.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
