Job Description Summary

The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure prompt and efficient service.
• Read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and familiarize with the menu of the assigned function.
• Serve guests according to hotel standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents, and communicate to management if necessary.
• Set all tables according to hotel standards.
• Maintain a neat and orderly banquet storeroom, stocked with necessary supplies.
• Clean up banquet space after functions and ensure proper storage and re-stocking of equipment and supplies.
• Prepare rooms according to BEO and meal functions.
• Follow all money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques.
• Know menu items for each function and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.00 + Tips. Pay may vary based on experience and skills.
