Job summary

Zota Beach Resort is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service during weddings, conferences, and resort events. You will set up banquet spaces, serve guests professionally, and support event execution with a focus on resort standards.

This on-call role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to work across banquets, meetings, and social functions while maintaining high guest satisfaction and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Food Handler and/or alcohol service certification preferred, as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and banquet event specifications.
• Prepare tables, linens, place settings, glassware, and service stations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown.
• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout events.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service issues courteously.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Assist with event breakdown and room reset after functions.
• Work collaboratively with banquet captains, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, beverage selections, and event details.
• Handle equipment and supplies responsibly and report maintenance concerns.
• Adhere to resort policies, procedures, and service standards.

Physical Requirements
