Job summary

The Sagamore Resort is seeking a Banquet Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service during events and functions. You will greet guests, serve with accuracy, manage dietary requests, and keep the dining area organized and clean.

Work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules dictate. This role offers benefits and opportunities to rotate into resort restaurant service as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Banquet Server experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure dining needs are met throughout the event.
• Serve food and beverages accurately and accommodate special dietary requests.
• Clear tables and clean up after events, including removing dishes and glassware.
• Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest experience.
• Assist Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, or Event Coordinator with additional tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and ensure their dining needs are met throughout the event.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy with orders and accommodating any special dietary requests.
• Clear tables and clean up after events, including removing dishes, glassware, and other service items.
• Monitor guests’ needs and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service, enhancing the overall guest experience.
• Handle any additional tasks as directed by the Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, or Event Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Banquet Server or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.

Compensation

$23 per hour
