Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Server at Sheraton Erie to set up, serve, and tear down banquet events, including coffee breaks, three meals, and bar service on weekends. You will support Event Managers and help deliver memorable experiences for guests in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You’ll contribute to professional hospitality, maintain a polished appearance, and use menu knowledge to answer questions while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Previous banquet or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods and lift 10+ pounds.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages tableside and from buffets.
• Monitor tables and buffets to stay clean and stocked.
• Assist team to deliver events that exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance as hotel ambassador.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide exemplary hospitality.
• Know menu items, contents, and garnishes; answer guest questions.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Sheraton Erie

Summary:
This is a highly visible and key role responsible for the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet events to include coffeebreaks, 3-meal dining, and bar operations. This person is responsible for assisting the Event Managers in the successful ownershipand operational execution of Banquet Functions and duties. Must be available weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the successful set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas correctly and accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages butler-style, tableside, and from buffets.
• Monitor tables, buffets, and breaks to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver a phenomenal event that exceeds guest expectations.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel by maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality while always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer any guest questions.
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
