Job summary

White Lodging at Sheraton Erie is seeking a Banquet Server to support set-up, service, and tear-down of events. You will assist Event Managers and the banquet team to ensure flawless execution and memorable guest experiences. Weekend availability is required to cover peak events.

You will professionally serve coffee, meals, and beverages, keep service stations stocked and inviting, and maintain a polished hotel appearance while anticipating guest needs.

Qualifications

• Outgoing personality and strong communication are essential.

• Knowledge of various food-service styles.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquets.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and breaks.
• Table-side and buffet service of food and beverages.
• Keep areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist banquet team to exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and hospitality.
• Know menu items, contents, prep methods, and garnishes.
• Perform cleaning, opening, and closing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Information

Location: Sheraton Erie

Summary:

This is a highly visible and key role responsible for the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet events to include coffeebreaks, 3-meal dining, and bar operations. This person is responsible for assisting the Event Managers in the successful ownershipand operational execution of Banquet Functions and duties. Must be available weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the successful set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas correctly and accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages butler-style, tableside, and from buffets.
• Monitor tables, buffets, and breaks to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver a phenomenal event that exceeds guest expectations.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel by maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality while always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer any guest questions.
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
