Job Title: Banquet Server (Positions available for both Full time, Part time & On Call)

Pay Rate: *$15-32+ per hour

Pay Rate: *$15-32+ per hour based on $2.17 per hour base wage + service charge. Historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $13-30 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.

This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage of $14.42 per hour.

Job Summary:

As a member of the Banquet team, you will be responsible for function set-up and breakdown, serving food and beverages, fulfilling guest requests, and exceeding guests’ expectations. You will mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  1. Set up and breakdown tables and chairs.
  2. Ensure tables are neatly and appropriately set per event specification.
  3. Serve food and beverages.
  4. Knowledgeable of food and beverage menu item ingredients and dietary/allergen ingredients, able to answer guests’ questions regarding the menu.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, function space, guest tables, and storage spaces.
  6. Respond to guests' needs and assist fellow staff members as needed.
  7. Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
  8. Serve and clear courses from the appropriate position in line with fine dining, 5-star standards.
  9. Remain present and available in the function space, accessible to guests to perform additional duties upon request.
  10. Function as a productive, energetic member within a team, in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Receive and follow through on requests and instructions from various sources, such as Captains, Chefs, Management, and Clients.
  12. Maintain professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
  13. Attend all mandatory hotel and department trainings and meetings.
  14. Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado State Liquor Laws.
  15. Follow all safety and security policies, report any suspicious activities, and Lost and Found items to maintain a safe workplace.
  16. Follow all procedures to properly use, store, and transport equipment in a safe manner to ensure equipment is not damaged.
  17. Read, understand BEOs, and follow assignments based on the information noted on the BEOs.
  18. Utilize InfoGenesis POS Software to create, post, and present checks to guests.

Candidate Qualifications Should also include the following:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with experience working in the Food and Beverage industry of minimum of one year.
  2. Flexibility in schedule as it will change often.
  3. Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
  4. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  5. In compliance with state liquor laws, must be at least 18 years of age.
  6. Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
