Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Banquet Server to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities
  • Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Perform all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, responding to guest inquiries in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Ensure food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature.
  • Deliver food and beverage items to guests.
  • Offer product knowledge of food and beverage to guests.
  • Provide general hotel information for guests.
  • Offer a warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Hotel Polaris.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all amenities as well as any special events.
  • Interact with hotel staff in a professional manner.
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Communicate all pertinent information to the banquets team.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues and report all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
  • Follow Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff when food ordering, expressing any special needs.
Qualifications
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently.
