Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Banquet Server to assist in setting up banquet rooms and serving food and beverages per supervisor instructions. You will participate in roll call briefings, attend to guest expectations, and ensure service quality throughout events.

The position involves standing for long periods, varying schedules including holidays and weekends, and adherence to safety and alcohol service policies. Prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Serve food and beverages as directed to ensure consistency.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Clear dishes promptly as courses are completed.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve issues.
• Follow state, federal and corporate alcohol service requirements.
• Follow MSDS/OSHA safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Focus

• Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
• Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice safe work habits; wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience a plus.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
