Job summary

Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South seeks an experienced banquet cook to manage all aspects of event food production. You will prepare dishes, maintain sanitation, and set up banquet stations with precision and timeliness.

You will work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef daily, ensuring adherence to safety, reporting, and continuous improvement across hotel programs. Must be reliable, on-site, and detail-oriented.

• Knowledge of back of house restaurant and banquet operating procedures

• Knowledge of incident and accident prevention with kitchen equipment
• Ability to identify and report safety concerns or equipment failures
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of food production for banquets, including prep according to description
• Adhere to sanitation practices
• Prepare food items for customers using predetermined methods in a timely and consistent manner
• Set up station with predetermined method to service all banquet functions
• Practice sanitation and safety daily for total customer satisfaction
• Consult daily with Executive Chef and Sous Chef and other departments as needed
• Relay pertinent information to Executive Chef and Sous Chef
• Assist and participate in long-range planning
• Support ongoing hotel programs with continuous improvement in networking
• Arrive on time in full uniform with tools and equipment
• Ensure all reports/forms are completed daily
