DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis – Park Place is seeking a Full-Time Cook for the AM shift. Prepare items per recipes, maintain sanitary work areas, and ensure proper temperatures and presentation. You will support banquet and line service in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary experience is required.
• Previous scratch kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience with both line and banquets preferred.
• Must display good organization and time management skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
• Must exemplify a positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced knowledge of food presentation.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items while exemplifying a positive demeanor and interactions with co-workers.
• Inspect and clean food prep areas to ensure safe and sanitary practices.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature.
• Coordinate stock and pars to plan for shift needs.
• Set up and garnish items following recipes and standards.
• Monitor food quality by tasting and visual checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen equipment.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste.
