Job summary

The Trade Hotel Milwaukee is seeking a Banquet Prep Cook to join our award-winning team. Starting wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, with flexibility for morning and day shifts and occasional evenings.

You will prepare and cook food, maintain inventory, ensure presentation quality, and support a clean, organized kitchen. The role emphasizes teamwork, growth, and alignment with our core values of Growth, Fun, Trust, and Responsibility.

Qualifications

• One to two years or more of kitchen experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, organized, and reliable with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food, ensuring attractive plate presentation.
• Knowledge of menu, recipes, preparation procedures, plating, and portions.
• Maintains inventory controls and dates all incoming products.
• Keeps lines and storage stocked with items and utensils for service.
• Maintains a clean kitchen and equipment, and keeps storage areas organized.
• Supports overall kitchen operations and maintains safety and sanitation standards.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Prepares and cooks food, ensuring attractive plate presentation
• Possess complete knowledge of menu and recipes, including preparation procedures, plating, garnishment, portions size and presentation / special handling instructions
• Maintains first in / first out inventory controls and dates all incoming products
• Keeps the lines and storage stocked with all items and utensils needed for service
• Maintains a clean kitchen by cleaning all work surfaces used in food preparation on an ongoing basis, as well as the kitchen equipment used daily
• Maintains all food storage areas, dry and refrigerated, organized and clean
