Job summary

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and cook banquet menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and event specifications.
  • Review banquet event orders and assist with preparing the correct quantities for each function.
  • Coordinate with chefs and culinary team members to ensure food is prepared and served on time.
  • Maintain consistent standards for food quality, flavor, portion size, and presentation.
  • Accommodate allergies, special dietary needs, and customized meal requests.
  • Assist with banquet plating, service preparation, and event breakdown.
  • Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
  • Monitor ingredients and notify leadership when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly sanitized workstations.
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements.
  • Support other areas of the kitchen as operational needs require.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Previous experience as a banquet cook, line cook, or in a similar culinary position.
  • Strong food-preparation and cooking skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, banquet event orders, and production timelines.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary education, certification, or relevant training is preferred.
