Job summary

Westin Chicago North Shore is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to oversee setup, service and cleanup of all banquet functions in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will manage staffing, coordinate with Sales and Catering, ensure standards, and respond to guest concerns with a calm, professional demeanor.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of progressive hotel experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in hotel or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
• Proficient in computers, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise setup, service and cleanup of all banquet functions.
• Maintain friendly, service-oriented guest interactions.
• Ensure staffing aligns with function needs and labor budgets.
• Coordinate between Sales and Catering Manager and in-house banquet contact.
• Respond to guest problems and communicate to leadership.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards across function spaces.
• Be familiar with banquet menus, policies and equipment.
• Prepare banquet checks and inform clients of payment procedures.
