Job summary

The Barnett in New Orleans seeks an experienced banquet operations leader to oversee all banquet service events, ensuring on-time execution, accurate room setup, and flawless guest experience. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, you will coordinate with Catering, Sales and Culinary teams to meet client specifications.

This role requires at least 3 years of high-volume banquet service, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3 years of high-volume banquet service experience.
• Hotel/resort banquet experience preferred.
• Licenses: 21+ to serve alcohol; Safe Server certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet service operations and events.
• Coach and train banquet staff to maintain service standards.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at each shift start to ensure room setup as contracted.
• Confirm A/V equipment needs with vendors for events.
• Coordinate with Catering, Sales and Culinary teams to ensure quality service for all guests.
• Attend weekly banquet event orders and group resume meetings and ensure areas are prepared.
