Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Banquet Captain to assist the Banquet Manager in supervising banquet staff and coordinating functions. You will ensure groups using the hotel’s banquet facilities receive excellent service, while maintaining high standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating course timing, and maintaining communication with kitchen to ensure seamless events. Previous supervisory experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local/state government.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in banquet/event servicing roles in hospitality or similar industry.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee banquet staff and coordinate banquet functions to ensure high service standards.
• Provide friendly, service‑oriented guest interactions and resolve issues promptly.
• Train banquet staff in setup, service, and cleanup procedures.
• Coordinate course timing with dining pace and assist in plating and service as needed.
• Maintain communication with kitchen and ensure accurate setup and cleanliness of function rooms.
