Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a Banquet Attendant to manually set up, break down, and service all meeting rooms to hotel standards. The role involves significant physical activity, moving tables, chairs, and equipment, and ensuring rooms are clean and ready for guests.

The position requires knowledge of food and beverage basics, proper table settings, and English communication. You will follow safety procedures, work with supervisors, and support other banquet staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware; equipment and setup styles for meeting rooms.
• Basic English to understand inquiries and convey simple instructions.
• Ability to follow written product labeling instructions for safe application.
• Ability to remember and describe menu items; operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications and reset after events.
• Break down meeting rooms and return items to storage between functions.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep them presentable.
• Supply meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water; replenish as needed.
• Transport and arrange tables, chairs, staging, and related equipment; heavy lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Keep storage rooms organized and maintain back hall as required.
• Communicate with supervisor during shift to stay informed of work.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and security procedures; wear protective equipment as required.
• Assist other banquet staff when needed and support team goals.
• Report unsafe conditions, injuries, or property damage to supervisor/manager.
