Job summary

Lancer Hospitality in Phoenix is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee all aspects of event planning and execution at a cultural attraction. You will manage budgeting, training and vendor relations to exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities include creating floor plans, overseeing setup and breakdown, leading the event team, maintaining vendor communications, inventory and post-event analysis, and ensuring cost-effective operations within Net 30 payment terms.

Qualifications

• Prior event management, catering, planning and execution experience.
• Knowledge of Steps of Service.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple events concurrently.
• Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Must have an open and flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation to commute between units.
• Valid driver's license to drive company catering vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage event paperwork inclusive of floor plans and rental orders.
• Oversee the setup, operations and breakdown of events.
• Lead and coordinate the event team, ensuring seamless communication with all stakeholders including culinary, sales, event servers, event bartenders, event supervisors/ coordinators and housemen.
• Maintain effective communication and manage expectations with clients, vendors and team members.
• Liaise with various vendors and suppliers to guarantee that all necessary equipment and services are available and operational for events.
• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of in-house equipment and disposables.
• Track and manage inventory of outsourced equipment.
• Conduct post event evaluation including gathering feedback and analyzing data to identify areas of improvement.
• Ensure to adhere to budgetary goals, creatively managing cost while fulfilling stakeholder needs.
• Collect and submit all invoices for timely payment within Net 30 terms.
