Job summary

Lancer-Hospitality is hiring a Banquet Sales Manager to drive sales and catering for internal and external events at the Phoenix Zoo. You will coordinate menus, budgets, and client communications, serving as the lead contact for event success.

The role oversees catering operations, staff development, and cost reporting, with a focus on growth and exceptional customer service. This is a full-time, onsite position with potential commission in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ progressive experience in a sales or catering management role.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities; ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises all catering functions.
• Maintains local client database and builds vendor relationships.
• Creates operating statements, reports, and budgets; reviews receivables.
• Develops relationships with associates, clients and customers.
• Creates proposals, contracts, and event orders.
• Ensures menus and catering materials are professional.
• Responsible for hiring and developing catering staff; training manuals and policies.
