Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Cook I to prepare menu items, guide line cooks, conduct inventories, and ensure sanitary kitchen areas. You will open/close procedures and adapt to guest needs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience.
• Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures.
• Ability to cook and direct a banquet up to 100 with a small team.
• State Food Handler’s License(s) required.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instruction and memos; present to groups.
• Knowledge of mother sauces and minor sauces.
• Knowledge of proper butchering techniques.
• Know equipment: slicer, Robo-Coup, Hobart, convection ovens.
• Must have knife skills and adapt preps for flavor and guest needs.

Responsabilités

• Prepares menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and guest specifications.
• Cooks proteins to pre-determined temperatures and ensures quality and consistency.
• Leads small culinary teams in banquet execution and daily preparation needs.
• Follows proper food handling and storage practices per regulations.
• Conducts inventory and communicates replenishment needs to Chef team.
• Ensures sanitary and well-maintained kitchen areas and equipment.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment (slicer, Robo-Coup, Hobart, convection ovens).
• Provides direction to line cooks during service for smooth operations.
