Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Banquet Cook to provide fast, friendly service to guests and culinary staff. You will prepare breakfast items, entrees, desserts and sauces, while maintaining safety standards and proper food handling across station setups.

You will work with the culinary team to coordinate menu items and assist in training new cooks, standing for full shifts and handling heavy workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred or an equivalent combination thereof.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to culinary team members and guests.
• Prepares food items per guest order including breakfast items, entrees and desserts according to guest requests.
• Employs proper cooking methods, cooks to specifications, handles, stores and rotates food per health and safety standards.
• Prepare and properly garnish all food orders in accordance with menu specifications.
• Produce sauces, soups and hot entrées in accordance with menu.
• Coordinate completion of menu items with server and set up stations for anticipated volumes.
• Slice, dice, chop and prepare raw products; carve meats and portion food on serving plates.
