Job summary

Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA seeks an experienced Line Cook to support all stations on the line and maintain high culinary standards. You will prepare menu items, manage mise en place, and coordinate with the Chef on Duty to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience as a Line Cook at a quality style hotel or restaurant.
• Food handling certificate.
• Fluency in English (verbal and non-verbal).
• Ability to compute basic arithmetic and follow recipes precisely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Prepare menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Set up and organize workstation with mise en place and supplies.
• Inspect tools and equipment for cleanliness and readiness.
• Inform Chef on Duty of shortages and communicate 86'd items to service staff.
• Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties; rotate and store items properly.
