Job summary

ASM Global Arena Management, LLC in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to assist sous and executive chefs in meal preparations for events. You will work in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to work irregular hours as needed. A minimum of three years in a cooking role is required, along with a valid Food Handler’s Certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a cook’s position.
• Minimum of one year of experience in banquet operations.
• Ability to work productively during extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and sanitary workstation.
• Prepare all meats, vegetables, proteins, and soups according to recipes.
• Assist with plating of catered meals.

Skills

Knowledge of all major kitchen equipment and appliances

Ability to properly operate ovens, stoves, grills, etc.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Strong knowledge of state health codes and sanitation standards

Strong organizational skills

Valid Food Handler’s Certificate

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two-year culinary degree or appropriate continuing education credits
