Job summary

White Lodging in Indianapolis seeks a Banquet Houseperson to support our events team by ensuring each function is set up to perfection and guests have memorable experiences.

You will handle setup, service, and tear-down of banquet events, maintain clean spaces, and safely manage equipment. A positive, team-driven attitude and ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality service.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Creativity in presentation of displays and setup design.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all banquet events.
• Keep the function room and storage areas clean and organized at all times.
• Practice the safe handling, care, and storage of all banquet equipment.
• Assist in transporting heavy materials such as staging, tables, and chairs to the banquet hall and follow placement instructions.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality, always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
