Job summary

Cloudland Lookout Mountain, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, seeks a Banquet Houseman to properly set, clean and maintain all banquet spaces, assist in service, and uphold safety standards. You will work closely with Sales and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless events at Cloudland in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Six months hotel or convention center banquet food/beverage services experience.
• Experience and knowledge in all facets of banquet operations; understanding of AV equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check BEOs to ensure accuracy.
• Set rooms, buffets, and tables per BEO specifications and Supervisor instructions.
• Assist in equipment inventory and attend staff setup and technical training.
• Organize banquet hall for a productive, safe and energy conserving work environment.
• Assist servers during service and report any difficulties to supervisor.

Provide excellent customer service and work closely with guests, Sales, and the Food and Beverage departments.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES*** Check server's and house person's BEOs to ensure that all information is accurate.* Set rooms, buffets, and tables according to BEO specifications and Supervisor instructions. Check electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords for equipment in use.* Perform all guest contact activities or guest request with a cordial, efficient and professional manner while maintaining a commitment to excellence.* Ensure that all storerooms are clean, organized and secured. Assist in equipment inventory as scheduled. Attend staff set- up and technical training on a regular basis.* Organize Banquet hall to ensure a productive, safe and energy conserving work environment.
