Job summary

Terranea Resort is seeking a Banquet Houseperson supervisor to oversee the performance, training, and inspection of assigned staff. You will ensure all procedure compliance, assist with room setups, and maintain high guest service standards across functions.

The role requires knowledge of function space layouts, safety guidelines, and effective communication to coordinate with staff and management. A Food Handling certificate and English proficiency are required for this position.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Banquets Houseperson experience.
• Food Handling certificate required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned Banquet Houseperson associates, ensuring procedures meet hotel standards.
• Conduct scheduled function room inspections using checklists.
• Maintain knowledge of group functions, room setups and equipment.
• Ensure staff report to work and manage breaks.
• Prepare and distribute assignment sheets; monitor progress and priorities.
• Coordinate changes to assignments and communicate them during shifts.
• Inspect function spaces for cleanliness and compliance with standards.
• Assist Housemen to maintain cleanliness and service quality for guests.
• Handle guest requests professionally and resolve complaints per procedures.
