Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Rockville is seeking a banquet server to assist with set up and breakdown of event spaces and to serve food and beverages professionally according to the hotel's standards.

The role requires flexibility, knowledge of service etiquette, ability to multitask during events, and adherence to safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations; prior experience is helpful and a friendly, guest-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations.
• Current Food Handler Card is required.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Understanding of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English to understand inquiries and give instructions.
• Ability to follow labeling instructions for safety.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee makers.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room per Banquet Event Order and supervisor instructions.
• Attend stand-up meetings to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food/beverages according to Banquet Captain's guidance.
• Bus dishes promptly after each course and meal.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet rooms for the next function as instructed.
• Perform side work and maintain cleanliness per health standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
