Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn- Albany Medical Center is seeking a Banquet Server to provide high standards of food and beverage service at all functions. You will read the banquet event order (BEO), assist the captain with setup, greet guests, and serve menu items promptly and courteously.

Responsibilities include pre/post-shift side work, clearing tables, handling trays, and responding to guest requests while coordinating with the supervisor. Weekend/holiday availability is common for this role.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Food service experience with knowledge of banquet operations.
• Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read a BEO and complete setup based on its details.
• Assist banquet captain in setting up buffet and other service as needed.
• Greet and serve guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Serve menu items according to the banquet event order and dining pace.
• Perform pre- and post-shift side work and setup tasks.
• Clear tables and remove trays to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Respond to guest inquiries and relay special requests to supervision.
• Notify captain when leaving floor or banquet area.
• Set up and breakdown banquet bars as directed.
