Job summary

Albany Marriott is seeking a banquet server to assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces while serving food and/or beverages to guests in a courteous, professional manner. You will work closely with the Banquet Captain to ensure flawless service during events.

The role requires knowledge of proper table settings, post-event cleanup, and adherence to health and safety standards. A Food Handler Card and strong guest-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations.
• Current Food Handler Card required.
• Basic knowledge of food/bev preparations and service standards.
• Know appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English to understand inquiries and instructions.
• Ability to follow safety and health procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room per Banquet Event Order and by Banquet Captain.
• Attend stand up meetings to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests professionally.
• Serve food and/or beverages as directed for consistency.
• Bus dishes and reset banquet rooms after events.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Perform side work and maintain a clean work area.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and safety rules.
• Assist other banquet personnel as needed.
