Job summary

Performance Hospitality seeks a dedicated Banquet Houseperson for our Orlando event spaces. You will read BEOs, stage rooms, and manage furniture, linens, and décor to precise specifications. You’ll support quick turnovers and maintain clean, safe service areas between events.

You’ll also handle basic AV setup, ensure proper safety practices, and coordinate with Banquet Captains, Culinary, and Engineering to meet guest expectations. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet houseperson/event setup or facilities experience preferred (will train reliable, hardworking candidates).
• Able to read BEOs, diagrams, and follow written/verbal instructions; strong attention to detail and pace.
• Customer-service mindset; clear, courteous communication over radio and in person.
• Comfortable using carts, dollies, basic hand tools; basic AV familiarity a plus.
• Flexible availability, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; dependable attendance.
• Food Handler and/or OSHA10 preferred (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Room Setup & Strike: interpret BEOs and floor diagrams; set/reset tables, chairs, risers, dance floors, podiums, coat racks, pipe & drape, and décor to specifications.
• Logistics & Inventory: pull, deliver, and return banquet equipment; track counts of tables, chairs, linens, skirting, staging, and signage.
• Cleanliness & Stewarding Support: keep event spaces and service hallways clean; stage and return linen; support dish/pan returns.
• AV & Utilities (Basic): place/strike basic AV; coordinate with AV team for advanced setups; check lighting/thermostats.
• Safety & Compliance: follow safe lifting, OSHA guidelines, fire code egress; report issues promptly.
• Guest & Team Support: respond quickly to changes; partner with Banquet Captains, Culinary, and Engineering.
