Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown is part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, and we are seeking a Banquet Set-up team member to help prepare and stage event spaces in downtown Omaha. You will set up tables and chairs, ensure the room aligns with the Banquet Event Order, and contribute to a memorable guest experience through attentive service.

Expect a fast-paced, detail-driven environment with varied shifts. You will help maintain clean banquet areas, restock linens, assist with service as needed, and uphold

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of table settings and proper set-up per event requirements.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism.
• Represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
• Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets. Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
