Job summary

Luminarias in Monterey Park is seeking a part-time Special Events Set-Up team member to prepare banquet and event spaces per BEOs. You will set tables, chairs, linens, and staging, and help create plated dinners and cocktail hour layouts for events of various sizes.

Responsibilities include cleaning and resetting spaces, restocking items, and assisting banquet servers during peak times. The role requires physical stamina and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience with banquet setup and event layouts is preferred.
• Ability to lift 40–75 lbs repeatedly and stand for long shifts.
• Read and follow BEOs and diagrams with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set and reset banquet rooms per BEOs, including tables, chairs, linens and service equipment.
• Arrange plated dinner service layouts and cocktail hour setups.
• Prepare rooms for ceremonies, meetings and receptions and breakdown after events.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of banquet areas and equipment.
• Assist with service tasks and communicate changes to supervisors.
