Luminarias Restaurant in Monterey Park, CA is seeking a Special Events Set Up teammate to prepare banquet spaces according to BEOs, ensuring clean, safe and guest-ready rooms for plated dinners, cocktail hours, ceremonies and meetings.

You will set up tables, linens, silverware and service stations, assist banquet servers, maintain inventory, and help with cleanup during events. Must be able to lift 40–75 lbs, stand long periods, and follow diagrams.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with plated dinner service setup for large events.
• Ability to lift 40–75 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to follow written diagrams or BEO instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set and reset banquet rooms per BEOs, including tables, chairs, linens and service equipment.
• Arrange plated dinner service layouts with silverware, glassware, plates, and napkin folds.
• Prepare rooms for cocktail hours, ceremonies, meetings, and receptions.
• Break down event spaces promptly after events conclude and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with cleaning tasks and restocking service items during events.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and stored properly.
• Support banquet servers and supervisors with last‑minute changes and room adjustments.
• Provide courteous support when interacting with guests or clients.
