Job summary

Beauport Hospitality Group in Gloucester, MA is seeking team players for the Banquet Houseperson position. This role is responsible for the setup and breakdown of Event Spaces and assisting the Housekeeping Department as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical activity continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb and carry ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours at a time.
• Practice and observe all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and breakdown of function rooms, per specific requests and direction from the Event Management Team, as set forth on the Floor Plan.
• Organize, review and prioritize the daily checklist of tasks, per room, per day.
• Setting up events may include moving/shifting tables and chairs, placing table cloths and place settings, hooking up projectors, speakers or other media-based equipment used for the space.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of all areas of the property.
• Return all tables, chairs, furniture, etc. to their appropriate storage areas and ensure they are stored in a neat and orderly fashion
• Work with maximum efficiency and guarantee maximum production of jobs assigned by the Management team.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment, with safety being top priority.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by Management.
• Salary range is $15-$16/hr
