Job summary

Delaware Park Casino & Racing seeks banquet staff to prepare and support events across its venues. You will arrange setups, assist with service areas, and help ensure smooth floor operations during weddings, conferences and parties.

The role requires physical stamina, teamwork and a guest-focused attitude. Training and safety guidelines are followed to maintain high standards in a fast-paced casino hospitality environment, with evenings, weekends and holidays typical.

Qualifications

• Must complete background check and Delaware Lottery licensing.
• Experience in banquets or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Able to walk/stand for a full 8-hour shift.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform bending/reaching.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow banquet orders and room diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and break down event tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
• Set up banquet rooms per event orders and floor plans.
• Assist with room turnovers between events.
• Move furniture and supplies for meetings and events.
• Keep banquet spaces clean, organized and maintained.
• Set up and break down buffet and beverage stations.
• Store and organize banquet equipment and supplies.
• Inspect furniture and equipment for cleanliness and damage.
• Support banquet servers to ensure smooth events.
• Respond quickly to last-minute changes and needs.
• Follow safety, sanitation and lifting procedures.
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude with guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Banquet Manager.
