Job summary

Marriott Madison South in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time Banquet Set Up Attendant / Server to handle setup, service and teardown of banquet functions in alignment with event orders and brand standards.

You will maintain cleanliness, stock storerooms, prepare beverages, and serve guests professionally using the POS system. Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends are common in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow banquet event orders.
• Ability to set up, adjust and tear down banquet spaces before, during and after events.
• Maintain high cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet space and related areas.
• Keep banquet storeroom neat, organized and stocked with supplies.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to mixing, portion control and presentation standards.
• Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, courteous and professional manner.
• Be familiar with the operation of the POS system.
• Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and servicing the guest.
• Follow all state liquor laws and safe service practices.
• Adhere to Legacy Ventures cash handling procedures.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
• Follow Legacy Ventures Service standards and policies.
• Maintain regular attendance and professional appearance as required.
• Wear proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Comply with applicable certifications (Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc.).
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces according to event orders and timelines.
• Tear down spaces after events and reset areas as needed.
• Provide courteous guest service for all banquet functions.
• Maintain cleanliness in banquet areas, pre-function spaces and storage.
• Prepare and serve beverages and cocktails per company standards.
• Operate the POS system and assist with cashiering when required.
• Ensure compliance with liquor laws and safety guidelines.
• Attend scheduled meetings and adhere to service standards.
