Job summary

Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, AZ is seeking a part-time banquet server to deliver exceptional service at our function events. You will assist in setting up rooms, serving courses promptly, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for guests during catered occasions.

The role requires strong teamwork, good communication, and the ability to lift items, stand for extended periods, and handle food and beverage service with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wine and wine service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of function rooms, arranging linens, china, glass, and silver for attendees.
• Complete pre-function checklists and arrange pre-service items.
• Efficiently manage table service, including drink refills and guest requests.
• Serve courses promptly and handle buffet service from setup to guest service.
• Familiarize yourself with BEOs and adhere to details for groups and events.
• Handle hors d'oeuvres during cocktail receptions with friendly service.
• Describe menu contents and preparation methods to guests.
• Clear tables and reset after events; assist with dismantling buffets.
• Communicate guest issues to the supervisor and resolve promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of the resort to assist guests with inquiries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
