Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or experience in hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow banquet event orders and hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve food and beverages at all banquet functions according to hotel standards.
• Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and colleagues.
• Read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu for the assigned function.
• Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems or complaints and communicate with management as needed.
• Set tables according to hotel standards and maintain banquet storeroom.
• Clean banquet space after events and restock supplies as required.
• Prepare rooms according to BEO and meal functions.
• Know and apply money handling procedures and use suggestive selling techniques.
