Job summary

AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront is seeking a talented Banquet Cook to join the ONDUS Restaurant team. The role supports banquets, meetings, and special events by following recipes and portion standards and delivering outstanding meals under pressure.

You will work closely with banquet and kitchen teams to prepare sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other components, coordinate schedules, and ensure timely service with attention to presentation and quality. Must be detail-oriented and collaborative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a banquet cook or in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review event menus, guest counts, production notes, service times, and special instructions to organize prep priorities.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production needs, ensuring consistency.
• Cook and finish food for plated meals, buffets, and receptions according to plan.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure quality and yield.
• Coordinate cooking schedules and service needs with chefs and banquet teams.
• Maintain sanitation and organize workstations; assist with opening/closing duties.
