Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking an ambitious and friendly banquet team member to join our high-energy kitchen and events operation. You will help prepare and plate items, assist with service on event days, and ensure guests are well cared for in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible scheduling including first and third shifts, weekends, and holidays is required. We value independence, reliability, a positive attitude, and strong customer service in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet service or high-volume event support.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and teamwork.
• Flexibility with shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collects food and beverage products and small wares for item preparation.
• Operates production equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions.
• Follow standard recipes while preparing items for banquet service.
• Assists in plating food items for service.
• Notifies management of expected product shortages.
• Handles leftover food items as instructed by the Banquet Chef.
• Wraps, dates, labels and stores items properly.
• Cleans banquet preparation and serving equipment.
• Cleans assigned work-station areas.
• Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Carves food on buffet line.
• Keeps walk-ins clean and organized.
• Attends kitchen staff meetings.
• Works action stations as needed.
• Sets-up plating line for banquets and assists with plating duties.
• Assists with preparation of other food products in any other area of the kitchen as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
