Job summary

The Charleston Place is seeking a Banquet Cook II to lead and support team members in the kitchen during banquet and hotel operations. You will follow recipes, maintain quality, and ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen practices.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in kitchen/hotel ops, strong knife skills, knowledge of cooking techniques, and a commitment to teamwork and accuracy under pressure.

Qualifications

• Full understanding of knife skills and knife maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and health codes.
• Ability to learn a new station quickly (within two weeks).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, and other kitchen equipment.
• Prepare food items to quality standards, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Label, rotate, and store food; manage stock and communicate shortages to Chef and front of house.
• Ensure a safe, sanitary work environment and proper food safety compliance.
• Collaborate with team to support peak banquet and hotel operations.
