Job summary

Opal Sol is seeking an experienced Banquet Cook with hotel kitchen experience to join our culinary team at Clearwater Beach. The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains a clean and efficient workstation, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will prepare high-quality banquet meals for events, follow standardized recipes, assist with setup, service and breakdown, and ensure food safety, presentation, and timely production in collaboration with the chefs and kitchen

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of banquet or hotel kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of large-scale food preparation and banquet service.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute banquet menus for events, meetings, and special functions
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown for banquet events as needed
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service and timely food production
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products (FIFO)
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure event timelines are met
• Support other kitchen areas when needed
